    Souvenir Arrangement for Certain Shareholders

    ​CLP Holdings Limited (CLP) today announced the souvenir arrangement for certain shareholders who participated in the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM). In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the AGM was held on 8 May 2020 in a hybrid format which allowed Shareholders to attend the meeting in person or participate online. In the interest of the health and safety of our Shareholders, the Company encouraged Shareholders to participate in the 2020 AGM using the online platform or by appointing the AGM Chairman as proxy.     CLP Power Freezes 2021 Tariff and Introduces Over HK$160 Million Worth of Community Support Programmes

To relieve the hardship suffered by many Hong Kong people, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) today (10 November) announced that its Average Net Tariff for 2021 will be frozen at HK$1.218 per unit of electricity. In addition, a series of community support programmes with more than HK$160 million provided by the CLP Community Energy Saving Fund will be launched, benefitting people in different parts of society and help stimulate the economy so it can regain its momentum.

    CLP Power and HK Electric Launch Funds to Support Marine Conservation and Sustainable Fisheries

    ​CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power), operator of the Castle Peak Power Company Limited (CAPCO), is working in partnership with The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. (HK Electric) to jointly develop an offshore liquefied natural gas terminal, known as the HKOLNGT project, which will ensure stability and diversity in the future supply of natural gas to Hong Kong. To support marine ecology conservation and the sustainable development of fishing industries in the vicinity of the terminal, CAPCO, HK Electric, and Hong Kong LNG Terminal Limited (HKLTL) – a joint venture established by the two companies – today (30 September) announced the setting up of a Marine Conservation Enhancement Fund and a Fisheries Enhancement Fund, both of which will be open for applications from 1 October.

    CLP Customer Service Centres and 24-hour Customer Service Hotline Resume

    ​In view of the novel coronavirus cases has slowed down, CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) announced that starting from 7 September (next Monday), all its Customer Service Centres will reopen and the Customer Service Hotline 2678 2678 will resume its 24-hour, 7 days a week service. The routine meter reading service will also be resumed except those places with higher infection risks.

    CLP Offers More Internships and Trainee Positions to Help Young People Get on the Career Ladder

    ​To strengthen support for young people, CLP Holdings Limited (CLP Holdings) and its subsidiary CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) are launching the CLP Graduate Internship Programme, which offers more than 60 one-year internships for fresh university graduates. Combined with the company's regular trainee programmes, a total of around 130 intern and trainee positions will be offered this year, more than double the total for 2019.

    CLP Contractor Staff Tests Positive for COVID-19

    CLP Power Hong Kong Limited ("CLP Power") was notified by the contractor company in the afternoon of 11 August that a contractor staff working at the kitchen of Black Point Power Station's canteen had been preliminarily tested positive with COVID-19. We were later notified in the evening that the contractor worker was classified as a confirmed COVID-19 case after a further test.

    CLP’s 2020 First-half Business Performance Broadly in Line with Last Year

    ​CLP Holdings Limited (CLP) announced today the Group’s operating earnings for the first half of 2020 were HK$6,129 million, an increase of 12% compared to the same period of 2019. While the underlying performance of its operations remained stable, the increase in earnings was primarily due to positive changes in the fair value of energy hedging contracts. Total earnings were HK$6,010 million as compared to a loss of HK$907 million in 2019 following the impairment of goodwill in the Australian business.
