Qian'an I & II Wind Farm, located in Jilin province, is CLP's first wholly-owned wind power project in the Mainland. The Qian'an project will be developed in four stages up to a total capacity of 200MW. It is the largest wind project that CLP has undertaken to date and forms the largest external investment in the region. CLP has a preference to take full ownership of its future wind projects as it has here.

Phase I (49.5MW) was commissioned in 2010 while Phase II (49.5MW) commenced operation in October 2011. Phase I & II comprise of a total of 66 x 1.5MW units wind turbines from Goldwind.
