Located in the eastern part of Shandong Province, Zhanhua Wind Farm was developed in two phases by a joint venture between CLP and a subsidiary of China Shenhua Energy. Each phase has a capacity of 49.5MW and commenced operation in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Zhanhua I, comprises of 24 x 2MW units & 1 x 1.5MW unit turbines from Repower, was registered as a "Clean Development Mechanism" (CDM) project with the United Nations in June 2009.
