Operated by CLP, Black Point Power Station is one of the world's largest combined cycle gas-fired power stations and is commissioned in 1996. When Black Point Power Station started operation, CLP became the first electricity supplier in Hong Kong to use natural gas for power generation, which enabled us to reduce total emissions during a period when electricity consumption on our system increased significantly.
