Tallawarra Gas-fired Power Station is a state-of-the-art natural gas fired combined cycle power station located in New South Wales, about 85km south of Sydney. It commenced operation in January 2009 and is one of Australia's most efficient gas-fired power stations, emitting 70% less greenhouse gas per unit of electricity than a typical coal-fired plant. Tallawarra's capacity is enough to power 200,000 homes.
