CLP’s 2021 Annual Report and Sustainability Report received two Gold Awards in the 2022 ARA General Award and Sustainability Reporting Award categories, along with the Special Award for Online Reporting in the private sector. It is the fourth consecutive year for CLP to receive Gold Awards in both categories.

• Hong Kong Sustainability Award (Distinction Award)

The Hong Kong Management Association’s Hong Kong Sustainability Award recognises organisations that have demonstrated due consideration to the economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainability, while achieving good business and organisational performance. CLP was a fourth-time winner of the Hong Kong Sustainability Award in the large-sized organisations category.

Best Corporate Governance and ESG Awards 2022

• Platinum Award in Most Sustainable Companies/ Organizations Awards  -  Hang Seng Index category 

The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Best Corporate Governance and ESG Awards evaluates the sustainability of Hong Kong-listed companies and public sector organisations based on their corporate governance policies, as well as ESG practices and disclosures. In the Most Sustainable Companies/ Organizations Awards, CLP won the Platinum Award in the Hang Seng Index category for the second consecutive year.

The BDO ESG Awards recognises outstanding Hong Kong-listed companies that have made positive environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts. CLP has won the ESG Report of the Year, Best in ESG, and Best in Reporting awards in the Large Market Capitalisation category for the third consecutive time. In 2022, the company was also honoured with the Theme Award, which commends the top company demonstrating efforts in achieving carbon neutrality.

Social Capital Builder Awards 2022

• Social Capital and Sustainability Grand Award

In collaboration with the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) Committee evaluates Hong Kong-listed companies on a range of social capital attributes including brand trust and stakeholder relationships, which are regarded as key resources for promoting sustainable social development. At the CIIF’s Social Capital Builder Awards, CLP won the Social Capital and Sustainability Grand Award.

CLP actively get involved in charitable activities whilst has been granted the Platinum Award for over 20 years in Corporate and Employee Contribution Programme.

Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC)

• Investor and Financial Education Award (Corporate) 2021

CLP has been awarded the Investor and Financial Education Award (Corporate) for the first time by Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) to recognise CLP’s efforts in advancing investor and financial education to improve financial wellness and overall wellbeing of our people.
