We offer a wide range of career opportunities, internships, and apprenticeships for fresh graduates and students in Hong Kong with the goal to nurture and identify young talents.

Engineering Graduate Trainee Programme  

Our Graduate Trainee programme equips Engineering graduates with broad exposure across CLP’s businesses, and with the future leadership and technical competencies and exposure required to prepare for energy transition and digitalising of our operations.

 

The 2-year programme helps graduates to build the foundations necessary for a career in engineering functions and also to extend their career into various functions outside of the Engineering area. Trainees receive exposure and hands-on experience in both conventional and renewable energies, CLP’s international businesses, advanced technology in operations and innovation areas, project management.  They acquire leadership and commercial skills through structured training modules, job rotations, stretch assignments and projects.  Trainees are supported to become a member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) under scheme A training to advance their professional qualifications.  Learning from mentors and working with peers and colleagues from different functions and backgrounds contributes to gaining new perspectives and preparing trainees to become a part of the CLP family.

Digital Graduate Trainee Programme 

We are committed to driving a wiser and greener future through digital enablement and data-driven operations which have lasting impact on the people and communities we serve. 

 

Our 2-year Digital Graduate Trainee programme equips graduates with critical capabilities, including but not limited to digital product management, system architecture, data analytics, IT, cyber security, project management, leadership, commercial skills, and communication for impact.

Female Engineering Students (FES) Mentoring Programme

The CLP Mentoring programme for female engineering students is a unique programme fully sponsored by CLP that aims at providing more insights to female Engineering Students in HK universities, who are interested in pursuing a career in the power industry as an engineer. 

Throughout the programme, students are supported by CLP Female engineer mentors to better understand the field of power generation, transmission, and distribution and plan their career in the engineering field after graduation.  Please click here for details.

Internship Programme

We are committed to the development of youth.  We offer a full-time training Internship Programme during summer (SUM), along with a 12-month programme (SAND) for students to gain valuable work experience and contribute to our business for making a difference to the community.  The internship programmes typically cover a wide range of projects suitable for students studying in different university disciplines.
