Programme Overview

We offer an intensive, two-year learning journey that will support you to achieve your potential. You’ll get broad exposure across CLP’s operations in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, acquire the skills and tools to prepare you to lead energy transition and digitalisation projects, as well as build a strong network with other graduates. 

When you’ve completed your programme with high performance, you’ll be offered a position in one of our engineering departments, leading to a career as an Engineering Manager and beyond.  Many of our senior leaders began their careers in our Graduate Trainee Programme.  

During the programme, you’ll:

  • Rotate across departments and projects to gain hands-on work experience and knowledge

  • Gain technical, commercial and leadership skills through training in world-class facilities

  • Learn from experienced engineering supervisors and business leaders

  • Be supported to achieve professional HKIE accreditation  (Scheme A)

Final year university students or recent university graduates majoring in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Energy / Chemical / Aerospace (1) / Building Service (2) Engineering. 

  • Strong academic results and a genuine passion for a professional engineering career
  • A team player with good communication skills and leadership potential to work in diverse teams
  • Analytical, innovative and digital savvy
  • Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable and embracing change
  • Willing to take up shift and/or standby duties (if necessary) on graduation

Remark:

(1) According to our business needs, Aerospace Engineering graduates are required and eligible to register in the Mechanical discipline in HKIE Scheme A programme.

(2) According to our business needs, Building Services graduates are required and eligible to register in the Energy discipline in HKIE Scheme A programme.
