CLP owns 29.4% of Shandong Zhonghua Power Company Limited (Shandong Zhonghua), which was an early joint venture with foreign participation in the Mainland power sector. Shandong Zhonghua has developed two power stations: Liaocheng and Heze II. All are coal-fired and generate around 9,900 million kWh of electricity per year in Shandong. Heze II was commissioned in 2003.
